By default your crew cannot see what production pay works out for them. The worker app has no My pay and nothing about pay is sent to a worker’s phone. When you want them to see it, there is one switch.
1 Open Production pay
In the web app, open Production pay from the menu. It is there for the owner, admins and bookkeepers.
2 Turn on the switch
Find Workers can see My pay in the worker app. It reads Off by default. Turn on to let your crew see their own pay estimates. Flip it on. It saves as soon as you flip it.
Only the owner and admins can change it. A bookkeeper can see the switch but not flip it.
3 What your crew sees
With the switch on, a worker opens the jobs list in the worker app, taps the three dots and picks My pay. They see their own week only: hours, estimated pay and whether you approved the week. Every week carries the note that it is an estimate and not a paystub.
Turn the switch off again and My pay disappears from the worker app. A worker who still has the screen open sees Your boss turned off pay estimates instead of any figures.
What does not change
- Owners, admins and bookkeepers always see everyone’s pay on Production pay, switch on or off.
- Workers only ever see their own pay, never anyone else’s.
- These are estimates to hand to your payroll provider. ClippingCash does not run payroll, make paystubs, or withhold taxes.
