How to send customer email from your own domain

On the Business plan, customer email can come from an address at your company's own domain, like billing@yourcompany.com, with just your company name as the sender. Add the DNS records, then switch it on.

By default, customer email comes from ClippingCash. On the Business plan it can come from your own domain instead, for example billing@yourcompany.com, and the sender name is just your company name.

This is for the Business plan ($149 a month). The owner or an admin does it, and it involves DNS, the same kind of work as putting the portal on your own domain.

1 Add your domain

In the web app, go to Settings, then Send email from your own domain, and add the domain you want to send from, such as yourcompany.com. ClippingCash shows you the DNS records to create.

2 Create the DNS records

In your DNS provider, create each record exactly as shown. Copy and paste rather than typing. DNS changes are not instant: usually minutes, sometimes hours. If you have a web person, hand them the list.

3 Check it and switch it on

Once the records are in, check them from the same page. When they pass, customer email goes out from your address, with just your company name as the sender.

Also on Business

Business also takes Powered by ClippingCash off customer emails and receipts, and puts your company name and icon in the browser tab on public pages.
