Owner app: install and sign in

Get the ClippingCash owner app on your phone and find your way around it. What is on each screen, what is under More, and how it differs from the worker app.

There are two ClippingCash apps and they are not the same. The worker app is for crew: their jobs, their photos, their check-ins. The owner app is for you: the whole business in your pocket.

1 Install and sign in

Install the ClippingCash owner app and sign in with your usual ClippingCash email and password. Same account as the dashboard, so there is nothing separate to set up.

If the password is not working, reset it or use a magic link. That works the same on any surface.

2 Find your way around

The main destinations are:

3 What is under More

The More menu holds the rest:

  • Quotes
  • Invoices
  • Recurring plans
  • Services and pricing
  • Messages
  • Account
  • Sign Out

That list is worth a look on day one, because the useful thing about it is how much is there. Invoices, recurring plans and your service catalogue are all editable from a phone, which means the answer to “I’ll sort that when I’m back at the computer” is usually “or I could do it now, in the truck, before I forget.”

4 Owner app or worker app

Do not install the worker app on your own phone expecting to run the business from it, and do not give crew the owner app.

If you are a solo operator you may genuinely want both: the owner app to run the business, the worker app for the on-site check-in and photo flow that is built around doing the work.

5 What it is best at

The owner app earns its place in three moments:

Standing in someone’s garden. Quote the work while looking at it, instead of guessing from memory that evening.

Between stops. Check what is next, see whether the afternoon is realistic, answer a customer text.

When somebody rings. Answer “can you come Thursday” with the calendar in your hand rather than “let me check and call you back”, which is a call you then have to remember to make.

That last one wins work. The operator who answers immediately gets the job over the one who rings back tomorrow.
