How to get more Google reviews

Paste your Google review link into ClippingCash and each customer is asked for a review once, on their first service report or their first paid invoice receipt.

Most happy customers would leave a review. They just never get asked at a good moment. ClippingCash asks for you, once per customer, right after they see the work or pay for it, with a button that goes straight to your Google page.

It costs nothing extra and comes with every plan. Nothing asks for a review until you paste your link.

Sign in to your Google Business Profile and click Ask for reviews. Google gives you a link, usually starting with https://g.page/r/. Copy it.

2 Paste it in ClippingCash

Go to Settings, open Subscription & plan, then the Texting tab. Find the Service reports card, paste the link into Google review link and click Save service reports.

It has to be the full link, starting with https://. Only the account owner can change this card. The card is there on every plan, including plans without texting.

To get the most out of it, also switch on Send service reports on the same card. See how service reports work for when they go out and what they show.

3 What the customer sees

With service reports on, the first service report a customer ever gets carries the ask. The report page, with the date, the service, the crew member’s first name, the time on site and the before and after photos, also says A quick review helps a lot, with a Leave a review button to your Google page. If the report went by email, the email has the same button too.

With service reports off, the receipt email for the customer’s first invoice paid in full asks instead. A partial payment or a prepayment does not.

4 Once per customer, ever

Whichever comes first, the report or the receipt, is the only ask that customer ever gets. Nobody is asked twice.

  • No link, no ask. Leave the field blank, or clear it, and nothing asks for a review.
  • Opt-outs are respected. A customer who texted STOP gets no report texts, and one who unsubscribed gets no report emails. The receipt ask is skipped for anyone who texted STOP or opted out of email.
  • No late-night asks from reports. Service reports never go out between 9 PM and 8 AM your time.
