A job from last Tuesday that never got started doesn’t go away on its own. It sits there, the customer is still waiting, and nobody bills it. Missed jobs puts every one of them in one list so you can deal with them in a couple of minutes.
1 Open the list
When anything from an earlier day is still open, the Today page shows an amber chip, such as 3 missed jobs. Click it to open Missed jobs.
The list holds every job from before today that was never finished, not only yesterday’s. Each row shows the customer, the property, the service, who was assigned, the day it was due, and whether it is Not started or Started, not finished.
The owner, admins and office staff can open it. When it’s empty it says No missed jobs. Everything before today is done.
2 Put it back on the schedule
Click Put back on the schedule, pick the New day, and click Move it. A job with a set time keeps its time of day on the new date, and an anytime job stays an anytime job.
3 Or skip it
If the visit isn’t happening, click Skip it, type Why (for example “customer away” or “lawn too wet”), and click Skip this job. Leave the reason blank and it is recorded as “Not done”. The job leaves the list and the reason stays on the job.
4 Or finish it
If the work actually got done and nobody marked it, click the customer’s name in the list to open the job, and complete it the usual way, so it gets invoiced. See how to schedule and complete a job.
Make it a habit
Look at the chip every morning. A missed job is either work you still owe a customer or work you did and haven’t billed, and both get harder to sort out the longer they sit. And when rain is coming, moving the day ahead of time with Rain day keeps it off this list in the first place.
