How to show instant prices on your request page

Let a homeowner type an address, see the lot outlined on a satellite map, trim it to the grass and get an estimated price per service from your area pricing, then send the request with their pick.

Quote the lawn, not the lot. With instant prices on, a homeowner on your Request a quote page sees an estimated price before they send anything, worked out from the rates you already set. They pick what they want and send the request. You confirm the price.

The price is an estimate. It is not a quote and it does not bind you. Nothing becomes a customer until you say so, the same as any other request in your Quote requests inbox.

1 Set area pricing for each service

Instant prices come from your area pricing, so a service with no area pricing shows no price. For each service you want priced, set a rate per 1,000 sq ft or per square yard, a minimum charge and how the price rounds. On Services & pricing, the ruler icon on each service opens its area pricing. How to set up services and pricing walks through each option.

2 Turn the switch on

The owner or an admin does this. Go to Settings, then Request a quote page, and switch on Show instant prices on my request page. It is a switch for your company, and it is off until you turn it on. Your request page itself must be on, so start with how to take quote requests online if you have not.

3 What the homeowner sees

  1. They type the address.
  2. The satellite map outlines the lot. In Sedgwick County, Kansas, the lot fills in by itself. Anywhere else, the homeowner draws it.
  3. They trim the outline down to the grass, leaving out the house, driveway and beds.
  4. They see an estimated price for each service you offer, from your area pricing.
  5. They pick their services and send the request.

The request lands in your Quote requests inbox with what they picked. Check the lawn and the price, then follow up the way you do now.

4 If a price looks wrong

An outline drawn by a homeowner can be off. Treat the price as a starting point, measure the lawn yourself if you want to be sure (how to measure a lawn and price the quote), and confirm the real price with the customer. To stop showing prices, switch Show instant prices on my request page off. The request page keeps working without them.
