Account and Data Deletion
You can ask us to delete your ClippingCash account and the data in it. Accounts are also deleted automatically after a cancellation or a suspension, as described below. Privacy and deletion requests all go through one place: our privacy request form.
What Gets Deleted
Erasing an account deletes everything in it:
- Customers, properties, jobs, quotes, time entries, and schedules
- Photos and stored files, including PDFs and logos
- Invoices and payments
- Your profile, login credentials, and app access
Download your year-end package first. Invoices and payments are deleted too, so get your year-end tax package and any other records you need before you cancel or ask for erasure (see download your year-end tax package). Stripe keeps its own payment records under its own policies. Database backups roll off within about 6 months, then they are deleted.
How to Request Deletion
Use our privacy request form with the email address on the account, then click the confirmation link we email you. We confirm your request within 5 business days and complete the deletion within 30 days.
Automatic Deletion
- Canceled accounts: when a company cancels, its data is kept for 90 days after the paid period ends, then permanently deleted. Resubscribing before then keeps everything.
- Suspended accounts: an account suspended for non-payment is marked for deletion about 30 days after suspension, and its data is erased 90 days after that, roughly 120 days in total.
- Expired trials: a free trial that runs out without being canceled or suspended is not deleted automatically. Access pauses until a plan is chosen, and the data stays unless you ask for deletion.
If You Are a Crew Member
When your employer removes you from their team, you lose access and your personal details (name, email, phone, birth date) are anonymised. The work records stay in the company’s history without your identity attached. You can ask your company to remove you, or use our privacy request form.
If You Are a Customer of a Lawn Care Company
The company that serves you controls the information it keeps about you. Ask them to delete it: operators can delete a customer’s personal data from within ClippingCash. You can also use our privacy request form and we will pass your request to the company, or act on it ourselves where we can.
